Kente" was born November 16th in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He Lived Houston Texas in 1986 and shortly moved to West Memphis, Arkansas where he grew up 7 miles west of Memphis, Tennessee. Since 2010 he has owned Independent record label Rasma Recordings LLC in Minneapolis Minnesota. Performing at festivals and opening up for several major acts. Kente has released over seven mixtapes and albums combined under the label. Several solo mix tapes through the label including two collaboration albums, one ("From Da Country 2 The City" 2011) , and an album ("Run It With Me 2013"). Kente debuted his solo Album ("It's Music To Me" 2014) and his latest album Kente "Black In America". His run came to a halt once he was sentenced to serve 36 months in the Minnesota Department of Corrections for marijuana possession. Since his release, he’s dropped 7 singles in 2021. Building up the momentum for 2022. Started a clothing line "Frosted Lakes"(2020), and has being an activist in the marijuana legalization movement.
